AddIns for creating pay codes (PR20.4) and/or benefit plans (BN15)

Has any used Addins to create pay codes or benefit plans? If so would you be willing to share the addins wizard template?

We have a test system that we have used to create the set up for a new entity/EIN. When encountering this in the past we have manually recreated all of the pay codes, benefits plans and other set up in our Production environment. To use pay codes as an example, I am wondering if it’s possible to do an extract the pay codes from the PRPAYCODE table in our test data area and then do an addins to PR20.4 to load the information to our Prod data area. Is this a possibility? Any feedback is appreciated!

PR20.4 should be a breeze provided you have all the PSGs, service codes etc defined before attempting the upload. I guess you could possible do the same with BN15.

You can do the plan set up with add ins. You'll need separate uploads for entry rules, coverage, contributions, etc - where ever you leave BN15 and enter data on other screens. Don't forget that you'll need to have the employee groups and deduction codes set up first. We used add-ins to load the deduction codes as well. The only thing we ever had trouble with add-ins was using it to copy over the employee groups. I think we ended up entering those manually.

You can upload employee groups. If I remember correctly, the trick is to change the FLD-NBR that you query into the Item Number in your EE group definition. For example, field number 14 in the query could be number 1 in your definition.
