Consignment System Charges vs Individual Lawson Items

We have run into a problem in our EP Lab with consignment items when the vendor gives a price break as a "system" charge if we use both device and lead vs using a Boston Scientific device and a Medtronic lead. However, if we track these items as the components, inventory would be a nightmare to also set the same items as part of the system. How does anyone else handle an item that can be used as a stand alone or as part of a system?

I would create 2 contracts - at different priority levels - showing the items at 2 different costs. One contract for all of the items at the system pricing, and the other at the component price points. Then create a template for your requester to use in that special circumstance that would use the lower priority contract.

We built the items - SYSTEM (Pacer + 2 Lead), SYTEM (Pacer + 1 Lead), PACER (device alone), LEAD (single lead) and again for the ICDs.

We feed these to Epic Cupid and the Cath Labs select which one and the bill goes out accordingly.

Do you pull usage from EPIC to Lawson to decrement inventory? If so, how do you account for the same item being used as an each and a system?

The pacers aren't inventory - they're bill only non-stocks. But they have different reorder numbers - so they are not the same item - they are separate items: SYSTEM (Pacer + 2 Lead), SYTEM (Pacer + 1 Lead), PACER (device alone), LEAD (single lead)

Those are 4 separate Lawson items to us.
