Mapping User Defined Field - Custom BOD

Hi,

Need help in mapping User Defined Fields in InforEAM of custom BOD to Standard BOD.

Is there any specific steps needed in the Mapper ? Or Any specific syntax needed in the custom BOD ?

If someone can just post the sample custom BOD with user defined field mapping would be great.

Hey Sachin,

If you're using the <UserArea> components of a BOD, then I would recommend investigating using User Defined Functions in ION Mapper. When you create your mapping from custom BOD (e.g. Sync.MyRequisition) to a standard BOD (eg. Process.Requisition), start off by mapping where the UserArea content needs to go in the target requisition BOD.

Once you've gotten that far, right-click on the target element you've connected your UserArea to and add a functionto it. You'll be dropped into a new container where you can start orchestrating more advanced logic on how to handle your UserArea. The Mapper provides several standard functions to handle UserAreas but you can add a brand-new UDF to your function that you can connect your elements to.

The UDF allows you to write custom XSLT code to parse through the element being passed into the function. Here, you can write simple code to look for specific UserArea attribute fields and then decide how you want to write that to the final target element.
