IF/THEN statements

In a calculated user field, is there syntax for if/then statements? So, for example, I'm calculating a field based off FTE and:

if the FTE is .001, then the field shows 00, else if the value is .8, then the field calculates FTE*2080

if (FTE=.001)

return "0.00"

if (FTE=1)

return (calculation)
