Is there anyone else who used "final close last year" to final close 2016 in order to then close 2017 this year - and was already on v10 at the time of the close? When drilling around on the company field (can do from GL10, or GL40, or GL70...) and reviewing "periods close" (this is data from GLCLSAUDIT) do you see inconsistencies like this?
In this case, periods 6 and 7 were only closed once - they were not reopened for backposting - while the other periods were reopened for backposting and entries were made at some time during the year. Here is what 2016 looks like:
Notice that 6 and 7 show ONLY a limited close.
Here is what 2017 looks like:
Notice that 6 and 7 show final closed with the same date/time stamp from the 2016 final close (periods 5 and 8 above).
Infor said that they could not duplicate this. I want to know if others had this issue. You may not have noticed it, since it displays appropriately in GL10. I believe that this is only related to the data in the GLCLSAUDIT table, but I will be closing the year in test as early as possible this year to ensure that we don't run into any issues.
