IPA Tool access to non-IT Infor Users

I would like to know if there is any company that have granted access to the IPA tool to non-IT users, after proper training, like System Analysts from the functional areas to be able to create/maintain IPAs for their respective areas (i.e. HR, Finance, Supply Chain). Obviously these "super users' have some technical skill and can create an SQL using other tools. I also understand that there is no a way to setup security in IPA so individuals can only access their functional area data and this is a reason to only allow IT to administer the IPA tool for all functional areas.

You might also want to mention the NEED to have a development/test area for flow development. And a Software Development Live Cycle (SDLC) to maintain the "correct" code (and versioning) is being used especially if there are multiple developers/maintainers.

We have not because of these reasons. Otherwise, it's way TOO easy to test in production (and corrupt more data) before you understand the full extent of the problem/solution.

Thank you for your reply. We have discussed the use of this tool only in the test environment for non-IT users and have the IT administrator review/test the flow before moving into Production. We are also concerned about system performance if the flow is not develop correctly.

Hi we have an HR employee, who's trained in IPA, who writes his own flows in test; then a 3rd party consultant check the flow both for debug and audit purposes. Finally, a different account uploads and runs in production so the employee isn't running their own flow. we believe or set up that all the flows are run by only one owner account. So Yes, and great to have local expert write their own flows with cautions
