IDM with Sharepoint as a content repository

We started using IDM with Sharepoint as a content repository.

Are there others using this product?

We found out that there's no indexing column created in a the Sharepoint lists.

This makes the product unusable for lists with more then 5000 items (every query starts failing, since Sharepoints prevents tablelocks in SQL)

Since we are the first to hit this (very low) limit, I suspect that the Sharepoint backend isn't used by many customers.

The configuration is well explained in the documentation.

However I would strongly advise against using it.

The 5000 document limit is real. IDM simply stops functioning once you hit that limit.

Mind you, 5000 is very low, imagine that you attach 5 documents to a purchase order, after 1000 purchase orders your docs become inaccessible.

Development has confirmed to me that there is no workaround.

He asked me how to use his own sharepoint from ERP LN to store attached document.

Could you explain me how you configure IDM in order to use sharepoint.

the 5000 docs limit is only valid using Sharepoint.

I would suggest to use the Infor backend, the documents are properly indexed there, so there's no problem.

Migrating documents between the two backends is not that easy, as I found out.
