How do I setup employee that works in two states in one pay period?

We never had to do this before. But now have an employee that will be working in two states. How do I set that up in Lawson? On the time record? How do we have two states active on PR13.7 at the same time? So far I can't find anything in the Infor payroll manual.

We have this scenario and the location code tied to the time record accomplishes what we need for tax purposes.

Is the employee hourly or salaried?

We use Kronos as our timekeeping system. When an hourly employee clocks in to work in a state other than where his/her home department is located, he/she changes the Location on the time record to be that of the new state.

For our salaried employees, we pay the 'home' state pay via an auto time record (home state of their primary state worked). For the other state, we set up a time record on PR30 to pay those hours with that state's Location.

To create the 2nd states deduction code, we manually add it to PR14. It then appears on PR13.1 and we can update the marital status/exemptions as needed.

Thanks! I just discovered that on the PR35.2. I think I will need to create a new work location and then choose this when entering hours for the other state.

It's a salaried employee. Hours created by PR134. I would then modify the work location for the time record associated with different state in the PR35.2 form. Thanks for the info on the PR14 manual setup.
