Universal ID and Lawson

Hi all, Hope I might get some input from folks out there.  Our organization is looking to employ what's being called a "Universal ID (UID)" that everyone, including Lawson users will get.  I wonder if anyone is doing something similar and replacing Lawson's auto-generated employee number with something like this?  Thanks in advance!  Lenny

We don't use a universal id, but we do have the auto-generating employee number turned off. We hire employees in a different system and then interface to Lawson for benefits and payroll. You just need to specify the employee number when doing the hire action.



There's an option on the HR00 to turn off automatic numbering. This is on v10 and earlier. Not sure if this exists or how it is implemented in GHR if you're on that.
