ION API Connector: Products, Request Format disabled and Select throwing error

Hi,

I am trying to create an ION API connector. I am not able to select Product in ION API tab and Request Format in Input Body tab as they are disabled.

And I am getting below error when clicking on SELECT in ION API tab.

Please suggest if you have any pointers on these issues.

Hi Ridhima,
From your URL it appears the Infor OS install is on-premise.
Please reference the following community post for troubleshooting steps:
community.inforxtreme.com/.../unable-to-use-idm-web-services-in-ion-workflow

If those do not work, it could be that some portion of the API Gateway is down. I would open a Infor Support incident to help troubleshoot, stop/start windows services, etc.

This indeed sounds like an authorization issue. When you click the browse button, internally the OAuth 2 SAML grant is used (So is the swagger UI test channel you tried). This means, the user who is logged in currently (i.e., yourself) should have the necessary authorization roles to call the IDM APIs. I am guessing this is the 'IDM-user' role (or could be one of the other 4 elevated roles). Can you in any case log into IFS/ Or ask your IFS User management admin to assign all the IDM related roles to you, logout of the browser, login and then try again?

I have 12.0.25 too and it seems to work for me. So at this point, i would still put it down to a configuration/ authorisation issue. Could you make yourself admin (simplest would be select all roles to rule out errors) and try? If it still fails, i would raise a support Incident so that they can help you.

Thank you for the quick response.

I tried the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the suggested community post.

When I ran "/APISuites" API using the Swagger UI to get the Suite Context for IDM, I get an 'Unauthorized' response. For all operations, it throws same Unauthorized error as attached here:

This is certainly the reason that it is not able to fetch metadata for Products, Operations, Request Format or Select in ION API tab.

Could you please suggest on how to fix this authorization issue? Please note that I have full developer rights on ION suites.

I do have the IFS User management access and there I can see that I have all the IDM related roles assigned:

Is there a chance that there is any setup issue in IDM or any bug in the current version?

Please note that the version installed is Infor Ming.le ™ 12.0.25.52.
