Emailing Paystubs to Employees

Currently our employees log into Lawson and view their pay stubs every pay. we have had some requests to email paystubs. I have concerns with the vulnerability of data. Is any one currently emailing pay stubs to your employees? If you do, what are some of the challenges you are facing? And are you using a third party vendor for this?

I really appreciate any input.

In a previous company, we used MHC to email paystubs to our employee base.

You are wise to have concerns over emailing paystubs (or any sensitive data). Email does navigate over unsecured intermediaries who can "review" the contents.

If I am not mistaken, MHC does have a method to encrypt email before it is transferred electronically. The encryption keys can (and should) be unique to the individual.

Using a generic encryption key would allow multiple people the ability see the encrypted email and thus render encryption practically useless.

We use MHC. The email requires a password that is unique to the employee to view the attachment.

I use Neps Software, there is a password. and it saves a great deal of time.

We use MHC, it allows employee choice of an encrypted attachment (the employee sets up the encryption key) and/or a notification of a new document available to retrieve via a separate web-app. It also will deliver other documents/reports to narrow or wide audiences.
