IPA: SFTP setup using Host Key Authentication

Can someone direct me to, or provide documentation on how to setup a SFTP connection in Landmark/IPA that uses Host Key Checking for authentication?    Also, can specific key exchange algorithms be specified for use to generate keys?    A vendor is recommending that the following algorithms be used:  DH_GROUP_EXCHANGE_SHA256  and/or  ECDH_NISTP256.

I cannot speak to the specific algorithms, but I have set up SFTP using server keys.



1. Create a private key between your Landmark server and the server you are transferring files.

2. FTP the generated ids_rsa file to your PC

3. Log into the Rich Client and change to the appropriate data area from which you will be SFTP'ing

4. Start>> Applications>>Process Flow Administrator>> Configuration>> System Configuration

5. Double Click the configuration you want to add the connection to (or create a new one)

6. Click on the File transfer Tab

Note: You can only have ONE host connection under file transfer

7. Click New and enter the following:

Host: Enter the FQDN for the host

Protocol: Choose sftp

Authentication Type: user and Privatekey

User: The user on the remote server (that the private key was created with) We use Lawson as all our flows run under the Lawson id.

Privatekey Path: Browse to the location on your PC that you FTP’d the id_rsa file from the Landmark server

Passphrase: will be populated after you choose the private key file.

8. Save
