Error upon enrollment of Flexible Spending Account.

Hi,

We encounter an error message upon enrollment of Flexible Spending Account. "You cannot enroll in this plan at this time. Mid-year cycles do not exist. Contact your benefits department to enroll". Can anyone know what is the message about and how can we fix this.

Is this for annual benefit enrollment or new hire benefit enrollment? We have 2 bookmarks in ESS - one for each- and find new hires choose the wrong bookmark (for annual enrollment). Check the enrollment dates in BS01. The date for the enrollment period must encompass the date the enrollment was attempted.

Thanks for your reply, This is for annual benefits enrollment. Also for Date info.

Enrollment Date Range: 10/01/2018 - 10/31/2018

Current Benefit Date: 10/11/2018

New Election Date: 01/01/2019

Do you have two different bookmarks as I commented on? Could the employee have chosen the bookmark for new hire enrollment?

Also, check for an entry in BS31 for this employee. If on exists, this means they tried benefit enrollment but did not complete it. When they attempt it again, the BS31 entry prevents them. Delete the entry in BS31 so tge employee can try again.

Really appreciate your response on this, We have two bookmarks one for international employee and another one for US employee. and the assigned bookmarks for the US employee is for INTL. And as per checking there is no Flexible Spending Account for INTL employee maybe this is the reason of the error.

May i know how to assigned bookmarks to a users?.

When you encounter this error with Flex Spending it is usually due to cycles. You need to ensure that your cycles have been updated with 2019 pay period information and also be sure that the dates are correct with no typos.

BS06 should fix your issue like Margie suggested. Once you have set the effective date and first period end date, you can use the special action button: Calculate; Add. This will automatically populate all the cycle dates for you and you can confirm they are accurate.
