I used to be able just look at the top of the screen in LAUA, and it would tell me if security was ON or OFF. Since we no longer have LAUA, is there an easy way to check?
No, I'm talking about the security itself - for the entire environment. That screen that you are talking about - that is for specific product lines.
To turn it off and on we use lsconfig -c in LID. In LSF9 we would use -lawsec ON / lawsec OFF command. And when you logged into LAUA, you would see SECURITY ON or SECURITY OFF at the top.
Now we use the lsconfig command instead of lawsec. So seems like there should be somewhere in LID to show that the security is ON or OFF.
Okay, I guess that could be - I've not seen that happen. I found what I want though....lsconfig -l. Quicker (to me) than logging into LawSec and navigating to that screen.
Milo, I get "security violation" whenever I try to run "lawsec". Even with the Lawson account - and that account is pretty much God here. I actually had assumed that that command was just no longer valid in 10.0xxx.
As to this...
All I can add to what I wrote earlier, is that when I went specifically into Lawson Security Administrator, went to the Server Management selection (on the left), click on "Server", then selected the "Security Checking" tab, I found something I didn't expect. In our instance where security is turned on, it shows that for every system code for every product line, it's possible to individually turn security on or off. That's pretty neat. Maybe your security settings are that specific?
We don't turn off security at the system code level, that's way too much to keep track of, LOL. But yes I was aware of the ability.
