We tried to map an IMS application to LN application and it works.

We tried to map an LN application to an IMS application but we got some problems.

Here a simple document flow with an LN Application that sends a BOD to an IMS Application.

In the following screens you can see that we configured the IMS Connection Point and we bound to it a document.

 

The problem is that we can't have AnyDocument in output, so we can't do the mapping, because even if we use a mapping task, only BOD type is available.

 

We use version: 12.0.26

Hi Elio: Based on your message I assume you are trying to send a document of type ANY from your own IMS application to ERP LN (which is using the LN connector type). Please note that the ANY document type is currently only supported by IMS, File Connector. In addition to this the IONAPI connector and the Any SQL connector supports JSONs.

Other connector types or mapper or the logic block elements of ION do not yet support payload types other than a BOD xml. The solution is to use a scripting engine that will be available in MT cloud first, this is under development. Until that is available, if you need to send a message to LN, it must be a BOD.



Another option in the interim is to park your ANY message in a file folder or on a database. Then you can use the File connector or the DB connector to covert your data to a BOD using one of these connectors and then use mapping/ send it to LN.
