Has anyone used the SQL node feature "Generate CSV from resultset"?

I realize the SQL node is being phased out, but for this project, this feature would be very useful to me. I don't think this feature is working or if it is, I don't know where the CSV is being stored or how to access it. I see that it becomes an available variable when you check that box, but when I put that into a File Access node, it does not write it. What am I missing? Many thanks!

I deleted my last post as I seen it only reiterated what you said you did.

On the File Access node, be sure your Execute Mode is "Write to File" you use a File location you have access to and your Input date is just.

If you log the SQL Activity, do you see data in the Variable (NodeID_CSV)?

Is your File Access node inside the SQL node loop or is it connected after the end?

- Yes, this is being done as you described.

Beyond that: is the File being created but empty? - Yes, file gets created but "null" is being written to it....

If you log the SQL Activity, do you see data in the Variable (NodeID_CSV)? - No, nothing is mentioned at all about the CSV....see below for the node log. The SQL is running and getting the records, but does not seem to be writing it to the CSV variable.

I'm unsure if this is what he is referencing, but if you are moving to a multi-tenant hosted environment you are unable to use the SQL node.

I should say, due to the nature of the cloud and multi tenant environment, the SQL node will not be able to be used in that scenario... but I think if you are single tenant or on prem, you are fine. In my last 2 visits to TechEd and Inforum, the IPA product developer told me this info. Not only that, I was told the game plan is to have ION eventually replace IPA. But this is years from now...Anywho - we are thinking about going to the cloud in a little over a year and I am 99.9% sure I will have to replace all my SQL nodes with Landmark Trx nodes.

We are going to have a tech convo with some cloud folks soon..my first question will be if we can point IPA sql node to the data lake....my thought is that if we can, and the date lake can be updated pretty frequently, this might be a solution?

I think I'm losing my mind today. That file I sent used the wrong variable to write the file. I've updated it to use the _CSV. Attached below.

Attached is a super basic SQL to CSV flow. (I had to Zip it to upload) I just tested and it works. You just need to change the SQL Select Statement and make sure you have access to Write to the file location you select.

One thing to note, If you go into the File Access and press Ctrl + SPACE you should see the empData_CSV variable in the list of variables if the SQL node is properly set up

Ok, then there must be a bug with my version...I tried your flow, which looked the same as mine and got the same result....null.
