Clone an HR company

Hi Everyone,

We are acquiring another company and would like to keep them as a separate company in our GL, Payroll, HR, etc..

 

First, In GL there is a GL110 which allows you to copy a company from one company to another, bringing over all the structure, etc..   Is there anything similar in PR or HR?

 

Second, if we set this other company up in a TEST product line is there any way to easily move a company from one product line to another?

Hello Matt. Our organization has many HRCO's and we often have need of exactly what you are describing. I am not aware of any delivered functionality to copy one HRCO to another for HR, PR or LP and so we developed a custom program to do exactly that. We also often copy production into test but that is mostly a DBA task and since I am on the business side, I cannot comment on the ease of the process. It's easy for me...I ask for it to be done and a week or so later...there it is. Easy peasy.
