We will be implementing GHR and are wondering what methods others are using in regards to termination dates. When you click on Terminate, it gives you the option to choose an effective date. Are you using this as the termination date? Or the date the termination was processed? Also, does your organization consider the termination date as the last date worked or the date after the termination has been processed? For example, if you have an employee whose last day of work is on Friday, August 31 are you considering August 31st as the termination date or Saturday, September 1st as the termination date. What date would you be using for various reports - headcount or turnover report? What date would you use for termination of benefits?
