BSI - Basic Local Reciprocity Discontinued

Can anyone clarify Customer Action - Option 2 of the BSI notice that was posted in early November about Basic Local Reciprocity being discontinued? 

Also, is the bold comment near the bottom of the notice telling clients to switch the Use Basic Local Reciprocity field of the General Configuration Options in BSI to No?

I've also asked BSI Customer Support for clarification on these things.  I'm not sure I understand the difference between Basic Local Reciprocity and Advanced Local Courtesy Withholding.  If any customers have any insight, it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you get any updates on this topic? We already have our General Configuration set to No for Use Basic Local Reciprocity. How do we tell Cert Code 6 is being used in the payroll system? On the employee level I only see options 0-3 for Cert Codes.



The use of Cert Code 6 in your payroll system is the equivalent of passing Basic Local Reciprocity through the API. If you have confirmed that:



1.) Within TaxFactory: Your General Configuration Option, 'Use Basic Local Reciprocity" is set to "No".

-AND-

2.) You have discontinued use of Cert Code 6 in your payroll system, then, there is no further customer action.
