Error BOD is not published

Hi,

We are using some custom BODs that we use for sending data to LN in the area of service (Service Contract Quotes and Service Orders)

In case of failure OneView shows a Confirm.BOD with rejected status. We want to monitor those Rejection messages. Therefore we have configured a Sync.Error BOD monitor that sends a notification in case of some conditions (Only specific BODTypes, and only in case of Error).

I understood that for every Confirm BOD that hits ION, ION will generate a Sync.Error BOD - as long as an event monitor is defined for Sync.Error BOD.
The Confirm BOD is correctly published in ION OneView. It shows the rejection. However, the Sync.Error BOD is not published.

I believe this is not correct?

How can I monitor these ConfirmBODs?

As you note, the confirm.bod message sent to ION will produce a entry in the Error BODs UI. It will also trigger a sync.error BOD to created. These sync.error can have a Process overlaid such as event or workflow. We have used this in many projects.

You should also see the sync.error in the Oneview.

This has been inherent in Infor OS from the beginning.

Can you provide version detail, environment detail?

Have you reviewed the logs for errors?

Have you opened an xtreme ticket.

So far all correct observations in this thread. One additional clarification from me..

// as long as an event monitor is defined for Sync.Error BOD. // - AND as long as the monitor is active.

So please make sure that the monitor on Sync.Error BOD is activated as well.

If there is not an active event monitor or activation policy on top of the "Error" noun, then the Sync.Error will not be generated by ION.

I have the following active error Monitor. The Error BOD has been selected, on the Conditions tab I have specified some conditions to only monitor in case of Error BODs for certain (Custom) BODs. The last attached screen shows the Confirm.BODs in OneView, but shows no Sync.Error BODs.

Is there something incorrect as far as you can tell?

Have you reviewed the logs to see if there are an indications of problems?

Could you create a simple monitor that covers all Errors as a test, i.e. remove the complex rules from the test?

Review the Confirm BOD detail as well. need to make sure the tenant is correct as well. Can you share that detail?

I would suggest a Xtreme support case be opened as well.

well i didnt create any monitor and honestly dont know how to use it

I created an activation policy and the workflow. the workflow triggers and works properly, except when i use exit point. how can you create a test using monitor? and where can you review for the confirm BOD? maybe the question is a bit annoying but i am a beginner and trying to learn the software

Your images are of Event Monitors. I am confused by your reply that you used Workflow. Why are you using a workflow when all you want is a Monitor? There are additional capabilities in WorkFlow that could be valuable. But for your testing why not keep it simple?

If the workflow is initiating based on the sync.error, then it shows that the Sync.error is being generated and all is good.
