WA Paid Family & Medical Leave

Premium collection for the new WA Paid Family & Medical Leave is due to start on 1/1/19. Has anyone heard anything from Lawson or BSI for updates in regards to this? I believe a new Tax Category should be coming in order for us to set up the PR05 deduction.

I emailed BSI yesterday and received this response.

"Thank you for your email with the subject 'Washington Family and Medical Leave.' We are waiting on the Authority to release this information. Rules are still being written and BSI is currently monitoring this issue.

The Regulatory Bulletin is targeted for release December, 2018."

We have this set up as a deduction in the PR05 and are testing.

Thank you everyone for your responses. We received BSI Regulatory Bulletin 153 yesterday which contains the updates for the WA Paid Family & Medical Leave. I have submitted question now to Lawson on when we can expect any missing Tax Categories that are needed.

We have not been able to do any testing as we are still waiting for Lawson to release CTP with new tax categories. We are very concerned as we need to have this tax in place by our first 2019 payroll on 1/4/19.

I agree. We process our 1st 2019 check on 12/26. Has anyone opened a ticket with Infor for the CTP/JT number. This should already be on their radar and ready to release.

We have a couple employees in Washington. Does anyone have information on this leave tax that I can send to payroll and HR to determine which tax category we should setup?
