We're running into issues where shift dates in the labor ticket table not matching the shift on the clock in/out within the given transaction. We understand what is causing this if an employee forgets to clock out after their shift, Visual thinks it was the prior day. We use this in our reports to differentiate between 1st and 2nd shift when we calculate employee utilization, but it throws off our weekly metrics when filtering by shift these two fields do not match.
Plan A is to pull a weekly report containing these flags and then fixing.. I would like to figure out a more permanent solution or is there something we're missing? Has anyone come across this issue before and if so, how did you fix it? Setting macros in the labor ticket side may fix this by making sure the shift date is set for the current day? HELP!
