Restrict Adjustments at an Inventory Location

We'd like to restrict inventory adjustments from being made at a certain inventory location. The reason for this is all of the supplies are used by one department, so adjustments shouldn't be made. We want the stock issued out to the department if counts are off or do a return if needed. Any idea on how to restrict an AJ at the inventory location level?

You could probably use security rules to accomplish this. But how about setting the department AU/account as the adjustment accounts?

In a similar circumstance, we did exactly what Jon suggests - we set the adjustment account in IC04 to go to that department's cost center/account combination. It worked well.

We also set the IC04 Adjustment to the accounting unit for the department and it does work well.

We delegated an AU, i.e. 999 and made it inactive in GL, then attached to the adjustment in IC04. Will stop them from making the adjustment initially but they can always change the AU to something that isn't.

Doing as Jon suggests is also a nice metric to see how they are performing. More Adjustments means they are not issuing product as it is used. Could be a performance issue.
