Record-level security question

Hello all, Our HR Department wants to implement security that would support the following:

- Selected HR users (in a certain security role?) should have ability to view, drill around and take action on all HR employees.

- Other (casual) HR users (in another security role?) should NOT have ability to view, drill around or take action on HR employees.

In other words, the other (casual) HR users shouldn't see *anything* about other HR users.

 

Is there a way to establish this 'record-level security' for all Lawson functions (forms, drill arounds, selects)?  Seems like this was easily accomplished in LAUA.  Is anyone else doing this in a way they'd be willing to share?

I have done this many times, The best place to do this is using the HREMP Element Group along with Security built into the HR Application on the HR09 HR10 and HR11 Sec_level and Sec_location fields. The you have the setup already in the Application writing the Rules in LSA is fairly straight forward. Hope this helps. Rules still should be on the Tables and form classes as in with any Element group Rule.
