Infor Fax Integrator and RightFax

I think this question has been asked before, but I thought I would give it a try again. We would like to continue using Fax Integrator, but instead of the Windows Fax Service we would like to use RightFax to fax out the PO's. Has anybody done this and if so how did you accomplish it? We currently have Fax Integrator installed on a PC in our Purchasing department with a modem attached. It has problems every so often so if we could use RightFax it would resolve those issues. Thank you.

We are sending our faxes using a combination of Fax Integrator and RightFax. What we did is actually use Email transmission for everything. Our RightFax is setup so that it can receive an email with an attachment and it will fax the attachment. The fax number is contained in the email address that is sent to RightFax. We also have it setup so that emails are sent from the Buyer, so the buyer receives a confirmation from RightFax that the fax was sent.

We also moved Fax Integrator to a VM server (Windows 2012) that runs a console session with Fax Integrator running to get it off of a desktop pc.

When you set up the vendor for Email you would give them an email address of <Fax Number><RightFax>@email.com? Like this 8004321892RightFax@email.com? So RightFax has the ability to parse the email address for the number? Thank you.

Correct, there's something setup on RightFax that defines the email format, ours has <prefix>-<faxnumber>@email.com.

We don't use FaxRight, but another fax service, -- otherwise our setup is similar.

As rmcanham points out, all transmission through Fax Integrator are sent to an email address at the fax service. FaxRight has an smtp mail port that accepts the email, converts it to a fax and sends it out.

Running on a desktop/PC is problematic. Running on a VM is the only way to go. Even the fax service (FaxRight) can/should be running on a VM, which attaches to a fax pool (so you have redundant multi line fax capabilities).
