LID- how do you type in lower case?

Hello-

Does anyone know how you can type in lower case in LID? CAPS LOCK appears to turn off in the toolbar but it still types in upper case. Thanks!

you can use the Caps Locks, It is actually reversed. It defaults to Caps

That is what doesn't work for me. I turn them off and it still types in Caps.

What is your font set for?

You can check in Menu bar | Setup | Text Font. I'm expecting that you have selected an uppercase (only) font like WIN92.

That being the case, set to any of the other fonts listed with upper and lower case characters in the font name.

I was hopeful this was the problem, but not so. I had WinPTFnt and changed it to a few others like courier, but it still only does caps.

I don’t think I saw this solution.

What I do when the Caps seems locked is

1. Bring up the file using the lx command

2. Press F6 Define

3. Select E. Options

4. Select B. Source

5. Each item in the list this brings up has the “Upper Case Lock” option.

I don’t know of a way to make it universal.

We are V 10 and this is done using LID command line

Thanks, Sharon, this solution works. I am able to follow the same menu options using pgmdef. It is too bad the setting change isn't universal, but at least it works. Appreciate your help.
