We have remote locations that pull from inventory. We also have most of their PO's shipped to the main location, thereby providing a single delivery (on our trucks). These locations (ship-to, or in Lawson-speak, inventory location), have multiple requesting locations.
Some of these requesting locations also get direct ship items (like pharmaceuticals and desktop-delivery office supplies).
I'm looking for ideas (best practices) on how to handle this hybrid situation. Do you setup additional requesting locations for those locations that get direct-ship items, perhaps location 123456 (for the bulk of their orders), location 123456-RX (for pharmaceuticals), and location 123456-OD (Office Depot desktop delivery)?
