Unable to open Leave Balances or Benefit Information on MyHR page

We went live with GHR over a year ago with a configured homepage on MyHR. On this page you can access your leave balances, benefit information, W-4 information, etc. Everything was working the way it was supposed to until some of our users had their PC's upgraded to Windows 10. When using IE on a Windows 10 machine, the Leave Balance and Benefits links do not work - they actually crash IE altogether. Everything works perfectly in Google Chrome.

Has anyone come across this issue? Anyone have any luck in getting it resolved?

Hello! Windows 10 browser automatically defaults to Microsoft Edge. This may be your problem. In our organization, when we tested, we asked the network folks to flag our URL to automatically open a default IE11 session rather than Edge. This appeared to fix the issue. Check it out! Good Luck!

When you say automatically defaults to Microsoft Edge, can you be more specific? Are you referring to the emulation tab?

Correct. After a Windows 10 upgrade, if you click on the new blue e icon to open the browser, then click the 3 dots in the right-top corner and choose Developer Tools, if the emulation tab is chosen, see the Mode category and you'll see Microsoft Edge is now the default. With Google instructions, you can still find IE11 on the system, but it's hidden. You can create an IE11 shortcut and access the self service modules successfully … at least that's what we found. Like I said, our network team created a rule that when the URL detected for self service was chosen, they made the Emulation-Mode-User agent string to setup and open with IE11. Hope this helps.

We actually don't use Edge at all. We only use IE11 and default all web browsing to IE. I did change my Edge settings just to see if it changed anything and unfortunately it didn't.. However, I will take this back to our server team and see if they can push out this setting and maybe it will make some sort of difference.
