Anyone using the WFWK (Workflow Trigger) screen for users to kick off their own IPA workflows?

If so, how do you ensure that a payroll user doesn't start an AP workflow, or vice versa? I am looking for a way to restrict this to authorized users, but I'm not having much luck. Curious what others are doing.

I've been rolling this out some recently and haven't 'secured' it yet per se. However, the users would need to know the exact name and title of the service to initiate the flow, and they don't have access to this information. I give each group the exact information they need to input for their flows.

We use those and we use URL triggers (ex. LMSERVER/.../trigger, and we put them on the departments' respective dashboards. That way, they only have access to their department trigger links.

I use this but in conjunction with Design Studio. I create trigger pages for the different flows, or groups of flows and secure them through Portal Bookmarks. Have been using this functionality since 2010.

I have added buttons to forms using Design Studio. The access, then, is based on the underlying form. When the user clicks the button, javascript formats an AGS Add string to WFWK which triggers the flow.

Still utilizing Smart Office here, so have populated the user Favorites with a URL like the following:

In LSO this will utilize their current authenticated security, so doesn't require them to sign in again to initiate.

In addition to this, any cross-function flows (ie- Payroll, AP, HR) are secured within the PFlow based upon Security Group. I utilize a Resource Query to look up the Originator, then a Branch Node to pass on if they belong to the correct Group. If they do not then it sends the IT Analyst an email alert about the activity.

Not sure if it's elegant and/or correct, but it has worked well.
