consumables/locations

We're trying to set up consumables in Visual - but we would like to have inventory locations for them.

Does anyone have any helpful advise on how to go about this?

In Version 7.1.2 you were able to have locations for consumables, but V9.0.5 doesn't allow you to do it. I contacted Infor and they told me that because it's consumable it doesn't need a location. I highly disagree. The only work around I have found on this is to open the browser in Part Maintenance and have your Primary Whs ID and Primary Loc ID as selected as columns in your lookup. Then if you go to File>Open for Edits, make your changes and then Save you can add the locations. Hope this helps.
