PTO Accrual for Rehires

We are set up for cycle based accrual, but we recently noticed that if someone is a rehire the count does not start over, but continues where it left off which in turn makes their PTO accrual incorrect. Our company policy is that the pto accrual starts over with a rehire. Is there a way to make a change so that it will restart their accrual cycle count upon rehire?

What date are you using on LP03.2?

How do you have your Service Rule set up on LP02 for your plan? We have a service rule called "ADJHIRE" that looks at the Adjusted Hire Date, which is the rehire date.

The only Service Rule we have setup is Plan Entry, so I think this may be our problem. What screen do you add the service rules on?

We do not have any dates on lp03.2 poplulated.

If all your dates are correct that drive you LP plan and the "old" LP31 existed, we have blanked the existing dates on LP31 so the system will repopulate with the current in some of our businesses. One of our business, purges the LP31s and starts over without issue. Just removing the end date and continuing with the old dates will make the system start them at cycle 15 instead of 0.

Service Rules are set up on LP03.1 and then you add the Service Rule to the Absensce Plan/Employee Group structure setup on LP02.1

When I went to go look at the original Plan Entry Service Rule, I noticed that we have the date set for adjusted hire date, but that is the only thing on it. Is there something else that needs set here?

We also had this issue with rehires until we set up LP102 jobs that are a part of the payroll process each pay period. I used KB1200623 to figure out what I needed to do.

We had the same issue. We copied the table to other table (inquired and hit add), assigned it as an override on their LP31 but we changed the "Cycle Service Type" to anything but "Plan"

Cyndie, do you guys use LP102 for all your terminations? GL is having a problem with balances left on LP64. I thought when you do the final paycheck, the system is suppose to erase the balances but it is not always doing it.

If you pay them out, it would zero the balance. You can use LP131 or do manual adjustments via LP70 process.

Carmen, the LP102 jobs are used to update the Service Begin Date. We run two jobs, and they are done on the monday of pay week, before payroll begins processing.

We have to go in an change the eligibility begin date to accrue at the new date. We use adjusted hire date. I submitted a ticket to Infor about this and it was no way to do this automatically unless these employees went in new plan or we use plan entry date. Plan entry date would not work for us because when an employees is on LOA they do not accrue. So it would mess up there dates on LP31.

LP102- my facilities run the LP102 when an employee transfers to a different pay cycle. We have payroll running every week and also they are on three different cycles. 2 biweekly and 1 monthly

We went in and ran the LP102 with "Reset" checked and then went back and ran it with Accrual and Eligibility checked, but it did not update the numbers. It updated the dates on the LP31 to the correct dates, but the cycle numbers did not change. We have found this affects about 78 employees that are all in different employee groups. Has anyone had an issues similar to this that could guide us in what steps we are missing maybe?
