Infor Lawson SCM interface to Cerner. Share experience and recommendations?

We are relatively new to Lawson (OCT 2017), and never quite finished the goal of interfacing the Lawson Item Master to Cerner. We are now trying to pick this project back up, first developing a scope of work, then requirement.

There are a few threads that speak to the interface files, but they are dated. Would anyone be willing to share experiences with this interface? We cannot be the only ones who have this, but its challenging finding information.

FYI- we are not looking for a consultant. We are looking for users who have developed and are using the interface (I tend to get a few solicitations when I ask these questions). Thanks in advance!

We use IC527-- and then split the outgoing files into 1,000 item chunks. Cerner (still) has issues accepting really large files and will give you some bogus error messages if you try.

A word of caution though: We had to first convert our Lawson items into the lowest possible UOM. I guess you just get more errors when you don't. I wasn't heavily involved in that piece of the project... we've had the IC527 interface running to Cerner for quite a number of years...

...and then there's the IC500 interface back from Cerner/Surginet in to Lawson.

We use EPIC instead of Cerner, but we used the IC527 (closes to EPIC specs) and modified it to get the fields and data EPIC was looking for. We run the IC 527 several times a day, use a scheduled ftp to ftp the file to the EPIC server where the EPIC interface engine picks is up and puts in a digestible format. We found that this has worked very well. We have been using this configuration for nearly 7 years when we went live with EPIC surgery.

Thank you for the input. This is really helpful, especially the information about the IC500.... interfacing back. We are trying to decide if we want bi-directional, or two-way communication back to Lawson. It looks like we'll need it for Surginet.
