Employee Self Service - Force Capital Letters

Hello,

We are currently working on opening ESS to have employees update their own mailing addresses. In order to keep data looking clean, we have always made addresses all caps. Is there a way to either force employees to only use upper case, or have a script that capitalizes everything before it gets written to the database?

We can put a note on ESS to the effect of "ONLY USE CAPITAL LETTERS" but we all know that won't be followed every time...

Thoughts? It's a small issue, but also driving us crazy.

We have a customization that converts it to all caps. I got it from someone I met at CUE/INFORUM years ago.

Hi guys, if this is an employee self-service customization, just keep in mind that you are going to have to reapply it every time you upgrade or apply a patch that hits self-service. It does not take much work to set up a batch program, script, or process flow to upcase the fields you want after the information is in the EMPLOYEE table (say, nightly), without modifying the canned code.
