Automate URL attachment

Has anyone automated the updated of a URL in Onbase to the AP30.2 screen in Lawson? We would like to attach our invoice images to the actual invoice record in Lawson and need a starting point to automate it.

We have the and image and the URL in Onbase.

We do! We use Perceptive Content for our document management. We send all processed documents to a separate queue. During the evening, we run a script from Infor Lawson against that queue to update Invoice URL Attachment with the URL to the document in imaging. This drill can be found on many screen in Lawson including AP30.2 but it is also available to our end users in their LBI financial reporting. They can drill from the GL to the URL attachment to view the invoice that is posting to their monthly reports!

Hi. We use a vendor that scans our invoices and indexes them. They provide us a unique number that points us to the invoice image. We then use an IPA workflow along with Write Attach to concatenate the unique number to the url. The WriteAttach tool from Lawson allows the url to be embedded into the application. This way you can drill around in any Lawson screen (GL,AP etc).

I used the following site and the Lawson Doc for developers to piece together the writeAttach method along with some developer forums to help with specific questions.
