How to handle rehires and time accrual

I am doing an audit and noticed the system starts the rehires back where they left off. How do you guys handle your rehires and Lawson?

Hi Carmen,

We manually modify the LP31 record and change the master start date to be the adjusted hire date, and update the service begin/acrrual from/accrual start, and eligibility begin dates to follow our LP rules. We cannot change the limit reset point (a flaw in our minds), but this process works pretty well. I can email you our set up if you want.

We do the same thing as Jenn. We use the LP100 report to identify rehires & employees who are returning to an eligible status and then manually update LP31 as needed to have the employee start accruing based on their retire/status change date.

Hi Carmen,

We used to take care of this manually as well until we discovered the LP102. This job reviews and resets all of the LP31 dates based on changes to the employee's status. Our plans are set up to look at the Adjusted Hire date to calculate our accrual plan dates. When rehires are brought onboard, we adjust this date to reflect their current hire date and then run the LP102. It's like magic!
