Restricting GL Companies in Lawson 9 w/LSA
We currently acquired another company and I am looking for suggestions on the best way to restrict users to specific GL companies. We are currently on Lawson 9 and use LSA for administrating roles/security classes. All our current security classes are open to all GL companies, but we want to restrict access so that the new company accesses only the GL company for them, our current associates only access their GL companies, and a select few who will have access to all GL companies.
Would prefer not to double (or triple) the number of security classes to maintain.
Any recommendations would be helpful!
Thanks...Richard Foehl

A quick but potentially problematic way (depending on how you have HR/PR set up) is to make a class/role that just has an element of COMPANY in it. Then the class rule is just COMPANY == x ALL_ACCESS. You can also add system code to this as well (GL/IF/etc). You can then assign this role to limit users' companies. However, this can restrict users from accessing self-service with that account depending on how your security is set up.0
