We are a Healthcare organization that includes 3 hospitals with several subsidiaries and a Physician network. Historically, we processed the payrolls for each of these companies separately. We recently implemented running the payroll once for all entities successfully and are reaping the benefits of gained efficiency. As an organization, we are now looking to take the next step to be able to truly have one payroll and report payroll taxes once instead of the 9 separate EINs we currently do.
We are looking into our parent company becoming a paying agent for all of the companies and spoke with our auditors who also pointed us in the direction of creating a company exclusively for payroll and transferring all of our employees to this company. This is a new concept to us and obviously would be a significant rebuild of our current process in Lawson. Does anyone utilize this concept in Infor? We would like to know how it works and if it's a viable option for us. Pros and Cons and such.
