Running PR134 getting Bad file status 9 065 on file lpbalwork-file on the examlog

Has anyone ever run into this error? We have had this happen 2x now during payroll and when we recover the jobs they make it to normal completion but does not contain all of the data. We then have to delete the batch and rerun it and get the same results. We are being told that the file is locked but even support cannot find where it is locked. We have had to reboot the system during payroll now for the last 2 cycles and then the jobs process fine.

Any thoughts?

We had an issue similar to that but this has been a while ago as I do not see it in my incident list. I believe it had to do with the size of the temporary file and our DBA had to allocate more space for it.

Not sure what version you are on, but I noticed several CTPs just came out on 6/24 for version 10, that address various issue having to do with PR134 and LP. Even if you exact issue is not describe, maybe they would help. When I searched on "PR134 lpbalwork" I started seeing the patches about the 3rd item from the top.

Hello, Saw this old post and wondering what was done to fix this issue? We ended up rebooting our LSF server to fix the issue in PROD but when we get the error in our test region, restarting the server is not fixing it.

We had to work with Lawson to have them add a wait into the programming of the PR134 - Once we did this it fixed the issue. Downfall is if any CTP's touch this file we have to manually add the wait back in.

So there was no CTP created for this issue?

No they didn't feel it was a wide spread issue so no CTP was created - it was a specific fix for our organization.

Sounds like they should have made an option to turn on/off as needed -- for most, the default option is off (no wait), for you (and others that need it), turn the option on.

I am not familiar with this "wait" option on a program. Can you please elaborate what you are referring to and specifically what customization is needed for this?
