How do you pass a parameter to a Crystal Report in Infor CRM 8.1 or later?

We have many Crystal Reports defined and are updating from SalesLogix 7.5.4 to Infor CRM 8.4.  We have found that once we upgraded to version 8.1, our scripts that pass parameters to the reports no longer work.  The line of code that worked in 7.5.4 is:

objRDC.ParameterFields(1).AddCurrentValue(sTitle)

Does anyone know how to pass a parameter to a Crystal Report from a SalesLogix script in version 8.1 or later?  I have had a support case open for a couple of weeks, but I am not getting the solution from support.

Hi Jim,

 

• This is in an InforCRM 8.2 System.
• On their Order Detail Screen, there is a custom Print button that should invoke a Crystal Report (that was built pre version 7.5.4) and pass the current Order ID as a parameter

 

• Step 1: on the button, use Javascript (in the Button’s On Client Click property) to invoke the report, specified as ReportFamily:ReportName :

• Step 2: Create a LAN Active Script that will get and pass the parameter to the report. Notice the currentviewID is derived from the invoking view (containing the button) which should still be current. Also remember what you name this LAN Activescript for the next step:

• Step 3: On the Report (LAN Architect – Manage Reports), specify an Execution When Open Script and point to the LAN Active Script you created in Step 2:
