Hello
Unfortunately, we don't have a dedicated SQL expert on staff, so I'm reaching out to the group for thoughts or suggestions...
We have been experiencing intermittent disconnections between Lawson and SQL.
The ladb.log lists "CMsfDBConnection::CreateDataSource() - Could not initialize the data source object for DBSERVER=xxxxxx".
At the same time, the SQL log lists "SQL Server is starting at..."
To me, it appears that the disconnection happens because SQL is restarting. Looking at SQL logs, it is not apparent why SQL would be restarting. There are no maintenance plans occurring at these times. Backups happen much more often than the occurrence of these disconnects, so it would not appear to be backup related. Does anyone have any idea what would cause SQL to "spontaneously" restart?
Thank you
