what are values for Non Infor API suite Context, Proxy parameters

Hello Everyone,

Good Day .

I have configured Infor suite API in ION Gateway and tested the swagger documentation, everything is working fine, for the same component i was trying to create a non infor api suite in gateway, here i'm not sure what are values i have to keep for the API Context, Proxy Endpoint URL parameters.

Can any one explain the how we can get to know these details.

Check out the "Custom or Non-Infor" section of the ION API Gateway Administration Guide. All the fields are explained in this section.

You can choose your own values for the Suite Name and API Context (and obviously the Description). However, you can not change the API Context later as it is used to form the path to your endpoints.

So, https://[instance domain]:7443/infor/CustomerApi/[API Context]/[Proxy Endpoint URL]/..... followed by the endpoint resource path.

What does the value for Proxy Endpoint URL? How it is differ from Target Endpoint URL.

Please find the below error, it related to proxy.

The Target Endpoint URL is the BASE URL of the target, so something like https://[customdomain].azurewebsites.net/api/

Then see my previous answer for the Proxy Endpoint URL above (used only on the Infor side).

The resources you add in the grid below are the resource paths for the target API, so something like [Target Endpoint URL]/[Resource URL Template].

So, if I have the following:

API Context: "MyContext"
Target Endpoint URL: "https://sample.azurewebsites.net/api/"
Proxy Endpoint URL: "v1"
Resource Path: "some/resource/path"

Then the Public Facing Proxy Endpoint will be:
https://[instance domain]:7443/infor/CustomerApi/MyContext/v1/some/resource/path

And the proxy will forward the request to:
https://sample.azurewebsites.net/api/some/resource/path

Hopefully that makes it clearer how all the URL parts are used.

Actually i used to check with the cURL or request URL in Swagger testing for the provided infor template suite which was working for me.

I followed the same to built it, for Custom Suite.

I observed that, the request URL is building depending on end point,

Request URL for infor owned suites: ion server url:7443/infor/ Context/Endpoint.

And i built like: ion server url:7443/infor/CustomerApi/Context/proxy Endpoint(Endpoint).

It is not working, do we need to add any extra things in swagger documentation ?

Can any one suggest the best way to configure the Custom suites in the ION Gateway.
