PDF template - PurchaseOrderDocumentPDF_ST

The client would prefer to use the "PurchaseOrderSampleTemplate.pdf" instead of the "PurchaseOrderTemplateSample.rtf" for security reasons. They're presently using the rtf because they find the pdf is lacking in terms of the inability of logo(s) placement, legal disclaimer and others.

Question: Has anyone used a customized version of the "PurchaseOrderSampleTemplate.pdf" and if so, can you please share your experience/guidance on how to go about it?

(Environment - CloudSuite Financials and Supply Management ver 11.0.57)

Navigation: Application Administrator ->Supply Management ->Shared Processes->Sample Document Templates

Hi,

I have done one of my client. Prepare the template in the word document and convert it to pdf, then use ADOBE Acrobat pro to add the fields.

Hi VIjay,

Need further clarification regarding "add the fields" using Acrobat Pro. When you add the fields, how do you link them to the individual Purchase Order fields from the application. That step is not clear to me.

Also, you could have used Acrobat Pro to generate the pdf template, correct! If so, (same question as above), how do you link the fields from the template to the Purchase Order fields? That step is not clear to me.

Hi Patrick,

Follow the below steps.

1. Create the template in word document

2. Convert the word document into PDF.

3. Open the PDF document in Acrobat pro and edit the document

4. Create new field, Go to field property ----> Options you can find the field called "Default value", In that you have enter the purchase order field (PurchaseOrder.PurchaseOrder) and the same you have to enter this value in property ----> general tab field called name field.

5. Then you can upload the PDF template and generate.
