Miscellaneous Issue for Serial Tracked Items

I need to process a miscellaneous issue for serial tracked items via stored procedure. I've found the procedure to process the issue for the item. But I can't find how the the serial numbers are being handled. I see that, on the serial table, the stat is being set to "O", and the ref_type is being set to "K", but I can't find the code(procedure/trigger/form script) that's setting these values. Also, I don't see where the entries are being added to the matltrack table. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

I have found the easiest way to get the code I need is to perform the action manually without script within the client while SQL Server Profiler is running to capture the SQL commands. I suspect if you did this you would see a serialsavesp method called with a sessionid for each serial number you select prior to seeing the miscellaneous receipt SP call with that same sessionid. Give that a try.

On that same note, I would like to do the same from outside the Miscellaneous Issue Form. I need to know if this SP affects APS and updates several tables besides dealing with Serial Numbers.

Hi Geetha Nathan,

In my script, I run the SerialSaveSp, followed by the IaPostSp. Doing this does the following:

Adds an entry to the Material Transactions

Adds credits and debits to the Journal Entries (IC Dist)

Sets the serial number status to "Out of Inventory"

Adjusts the qty on hand.
