We have a few work orders, that are used without closing, for repetitive mostly internal products. We would like to monthly, relieve the costs to cost of sales without closing the work order. Any suggestions?
This is an old one. We ship out internal orders to "ourselves" with zero price. The product code points to either an Expense or a Capitalized Asset, depending on criteria. Another way to remove costs from a work order is through the use of co-products. We sometime stop manufacturing something midway and I have to scrap the labor. I do this through co-products. I have a part named LABOR which I receive into inventory at a percentage of total cost that I choose. Mainly 100% in this case.
