Trying not to create deduction arrears with new benefit plan

Hi,

We are implementing a new Benefit Plan which starts of 08/01/2019. The enrollment date is 08/01/2019. The first payroll deduction for the plan is on a new pay period starting 08/03/2019. The plan's deduction record in PR05 has  the Arrears flag as "Yes".  Am afraid that the system may create Arrears since the plan has a start date that falls on the prior pay period.  Has anyone encounter this issue?  Thanks!

Have you already processed the payroll which pays through 8/2/19? If you have, then the system will not go back and create arrears for payrolls already processed. If you haven't processed that payroll yet, you'll want to wait until after you do before enrolling employees in the plan to avoid deductions being taken.
