Is anyone using smart office info browser for reports to send to their HR or payroll users?

Hi Brittany, our users love the Info Browsers! I think the purpose of InfoBrowsers is more for quick lookups or quick queries to find exceptions, and less of a "reporting solution"...but I can share a few examples to help you with ideas. We built one that a lot of people have adopted instead of using HR11 (depending on need, as with most things); it is based on the Employee Table, but it also has some fields from the Job-Code table and the Supervisor table (it just gives a good overview of the core employee metrics). We also have one for the DeptCode table, it is just a quick lookup instead of using HR02 (which requires you to know the process level). We have another one for Pay Codes (PRPAYCODE table) for payroll that shows the pay codes and descriptions. We have more for a vendor lookup, GL Account lookup, GLNAMES, etc. They are very user friendly, and especially if you show the users how to use tokens, they will find them invaluable. You can even publish the InfoBrowsers in the Widget Library so users can pull out the ones they want, without having to import it or build it themselves. And it works with Lawson security, so if someone has access to the underlying table(s) they can use it, but if they do not have access, the data will be secured. Hope that helps!
