Transactions Do Not Balance when Costing

We run Visual Mfg. 9.0.4 and are running costing utilities and posting daily. Almost everyday, when posting, Accounting is getting the error
"Transactions do not balance. You cannot post distributions unless they balance. This is a possible internal problem or tables have been altered outside of VISUALS control."

Usually it's one or two work orders that are off by 1 cent. Infor support has given us some work-arounds to "fix" the problem and allow the posting to go through but with Accounting posting early every morning, it's really not viable to do their fixes every day.

Anyone seeing this behavior?

We are looking to upgrade to 9.0.8 and wondering if anyone else that had this error seen if the upgrade fixes it.

Oh boy did I see this. Like you, I was having to fix things a LOT. This was happening with 9.04 and 9.06. I am trying to remember what eventually fixed the issue for us. We are still on 9.0.6. As I recall, I think it was material requirements that went below 0.

We have been having problems for years (we started with Version 6 in 2006). We are still getting problems in version 9.06. We don't get messages when posting but we have had a lot of transactions not posting. We see these when we running Costing Tools and looking for exceptions. Even when you tick to post them, many of them still do not post. I think problems are caused when inventory goes below zero and when partly complete work orders are cancelled rather than closed. The upshot of all this is that our inventory report and our nominal ledger have been going out of balance and, every year since 2006, this difference has got larger. It is now around £23,000. The Infor support team (Lee Littlefair) has given us bespoke queries to put transactions right but this could have a catastrophic impact on our profit and loss if we do it now. I also don't think Infor have addressed the root cause - so problems will continue.
