Hi Everyone - With all the recent manufacturer buyouts and supply shortages we are reexamining our alternate source and substitute item processes. We are connected to Epic on the OR through the clinical bridge so we manage their item master and everything we do affects them. We are also 80% JIT, 20% Inventory. Can anyone share their process for item substitution? How do you track item usage taking into consideration the substitute items. It would be helpful to hear from anyone interfacing with their EMR or POU system. Thanks in advance.
