Transfer Report

We are trying to write a report from Talent Management for all transfers processed the prior week. We are writing a SQL report but having issues finding which table would be best to write this out of. We have tried the EmployeeTurnover but find issues with the timestamp and not understanding where those time stamps are coming from. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Look at S_EMPWA. You can look at the WORKASSIGNMENT table combined with the EMPLOYEE table for current primary workassignment. Then look back at S_EMPWA for a different Position or Location in the week ago timeframe based on the WORKASSIGNMENT_EFFRNGEND. It could get tricky if you've added a new primary work assignment (inactivating the old one), not just transfer an existing one. It is possible to follow the Primary Work Assignment by linking the S_EMPL table to the S_EMPWA, but not ideal.

One issue with this is if someone enters a transfer today but with an effective date in the past (further out than one week) we would never pick it up on the report?

Easier way is to use the TURNOVERDATA business class and pull action Transfer.

I do not know of an out of the box solution, however, if you setup the Employee History Reporting in GHR and schedule the reports to run to update the data, you should be able to access the data from the EmployeeFieldHistory and EmployeeTransactionHistory business classes. You can find out how to setup and maintain the Employee History Reports by going to your on-line help (Infocenter) and under Application Help search on Employee History Reporting.

You will be able to use these business classes similar to how you would use HRHistory and PERSACTHST tables in S3.

You might also want to look at the Replication Sets feature in GHR. This allows you to pull full data or updated data from last run. You can find more information on these under the Environment Help on Infocenter searching on Replication Sets.

Hey jreese, this Employee History Reporting is a "new" feature, right?

We are currently running GHR in version 11.0 and I couldn't find any mentions to it: neither in the system itself nor in the support documentation for our version.

But anyways, thanks for sharing that; it sounds like a good resource!

Thank you, we are running a sql report and was about to use the TURNOVERDATA table to run this. We create the report and drop it in a location that several others have access to so they are notified for badge changes, etc.
