Wellness Credits
unknown
We are considering a Wellness program that would allow the employee to qualify for between 0-5 credits which would be applied to the health plan premium each payroll. Lawson does not have any "official" stance on this topic, but understands some have been successful using flex credits. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

We enter our credits (as a personnel action) on the HR11 -Ben Flag tab. We then set up different employee groups that are tied to the contribution rates on the BN15.

Thank you for your response. It sounds like you did not set the plan up as a flex plan, but are only using the Lifestyle Credits field as a way to separate employees into the correct employee group based on the number of credits they are to receive. Is that correct?

Do you do that as part of open enrollment? If so, how do you prevent employees from receiving a credited rate prior to the effective date of the new enrollment period?

Yes that is correct. I believe it was set up as a flex plan one year (too long ago to remember)
They need to apply for the credits every year (we have our staff health office or the employee's physician measure for the credits). Prior to the new year we delete (via add ins) the prior year credits and enter the new one credits.
We get updates every week from staff health for new hires or employees that didn't make a credit the first go around (like blood pressure).
